Rodney P. Vincent (Retired)

Louisiana Litigation Attorney

A founding member of Plotkin, Vincent & Jaffe, L.L.C., Rodney P. Vincent received his J.D. from Louisiana State University School of Law in 1975. After graduation, Mr. Vincent served as a law clerk for the 24th Judicial District Court, Parish of Jefferson, State of Louisiana.

Mr. Vincent is admitted to practice law in Louisiana, the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana and the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit. Memberships include the Louisiana State Bar Association, Louisiana Association for Justice, and the American Industrial Hygiene Association.

Mr. Vincent’s practice has historically involved representation of injured plaintiffs in complicated product liability, personal injury, and/or wrongful death claims.

Mr. Vincent’s current practice is primarily devoted to the representation of clients who have contracted occupational lung diseases, particularly related to silica, asbestos or coal dust exposure. A significant part of that litigation includes product liability claims relating to NIOSH-approved respiratory protection equipment, such as dust respirators.

In addition to his Louisiana practice, Mr. Vincent has served as co-counsel for plaintiffs on a pro hac vice basis in occupational lung disease cases, including mesothelioma, silicosis or coal worker’s pneumoconiosis, in Illinois, Kentucky, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Texas, and West Virginia.

Mr. Vincent is married with a son and a daughter. He plays golf and enjoys fishing with his son who is a licensed fishing charter captain.
